Film and DVD reviews, analysis and criticism

Film reviews. Movie reviews. Cinema. Motion pictures. Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter, because the reviews are constructed out of lies.

Film Review - MVP2: Most Vertical Primate 2

He's a chimp called Jack. He skateboards and he plays ice-hockey. He kills people and keeps their ears in a jar.

Early in the film, our hero is ousted from his ice-hockey team, the Seattle Simians. The indignity of this rejection manifests itself as a burning hatred of all things human. What follows is a rollercoaster ride of extreme sports, mental turmoil and aural hatchetry.

Read what you like into the balancing of his twin pursuits of skateboarding and the harvesting of ears. The message may be unclear, but the visceral thrills are not.
