Film reviews. Movie reviews. Cinema. Motion pictures. Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter, because the reviews are constructed out of lies.

Film Review - The Rules of Attraction

The Rules of Attraction is a drama-documentary exploring magnetism, starring Compo from Last of the Summer Wine and Edith from 'Allo 'Allo.

It's admirable that a British picture should tackle a subject which maybe won't bring in the crowds. With British film-making in its current, dire state, the majority of film-makers have chased the largest market. Not here. Instead we are treated to a four hour epic depicting two aged folk testing a plethora of items with a magnet.

"Plastic football..."
"Not magnetic."

"Slice of emmental..."
"Not magnetic."

"House key..."
"Magnetic!"

"Wicker hat..."
"Not magnetic."
