Film reviews. Movie reviews. Cinema. Motion pictures. Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter, because the reviews are constructed out of lies.

Film Review – The Game

The Game is a film about a game. The game is called The Game. The rules of The Game are that if you think of The Game, you lose The Game.

So it is that we see talent-free midget, Chad Kroeger, swanning around oblivious to The Game. Intermittently, he remembers The Game and consequently loses. Chad largely fails to express this sequence of internal events and often we are uncertain whether Chad has lost The Game or not. A greater actor would have left the audience in no doubt as to the state of play in The Game, using only subtle facial expressions to let them know of his surprise and subsequent disappointment at remembering The Game and then losing. Chad is forced to resort to shouting: “Oh no! I’ve lost The Game!”

If you’re a big Nickelback fan then by all means go and watch this film. For the rest of us, we’d be better off just playing The Game.
