Film reviews. Movie reviews. Cinema. Motion pictures. Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter, because the reviews are constructed out of lies.

Film Review - Risky Business

Risky Business is an epic tale of one man's addiction to danger.

Count Duckula takes the lead role. He is precipitated into his world of addiction after a messy break-up with his girlfriend, played by Teela from He-Man. She accuses him of being staid and boring. As a reaction to this, Duckula takes his behaviour to the opposite extreme.

This is quite a formulaic film and really just consists of a number of 'dare' set-pieces of escalating danger. The set-pieces include Duckula shaking one can of beer out of six, mixing them all up and then opening one by his face. He goes outdoors on a cold day with wet hair. He makes cups of tea with old milk without having sniffed it first. He even attends a feminist lecture wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words 'do my ironing, woman'.

From an early point, it's clear that this is only going to end one way. Duckula finally calls time on his reckless risk-taking when he jumps under a cold shower having blindly switched the hot water on and off half and hour earlier.
