Film reviews. Movie reviews. Cinema. Motion pictures. Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter, because the reviews are constructed out of lies.

Film Review - Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

The 'Star' part of the title's a bit misleading, because our heros, Cork, Spack, Dr Brannigan, Scotty-too-Hotty and Ayer's Rock don't actually leave Earth. The titular undiscovered country is, in fact, France.

American geography's famously bad, so pretty much every country's 'undiscovered'. This film depicts a Star Trek convention in Lyon. Everyone gets really confused because no-one's speaking English.

The real focus of this film should have been on how such ludicrous names came to exist. Not the screen names, you understand - the real names. I mean, 'Nichelle'? What the hell is that? It's nearly 'Michelle', but let's be brutal here - it isn't. That letter M is crucial in the rendering of the name Michelle. It kicks things off.

Then there's DeForest Kelley. 'Kelley' is a poorly-spelt woman's first name and he's using it for a surname. 'DeForest' is nothing at all. I just... Agh.
