Film and DVD reviews, analysis and criticism

Film reviews. Movie reviews. Cinema. Motion pictures. Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter, because the reviews are constructed out of lies.

Film Review - Scum

Scum is a short art-house film from Paraguay about a man who has to clean a pond. The man, played by Oliver Reed in drag, is not knowledgeable about pond-cleansing and resorts to drinking the entire thing before urinating a replacement.

Reed - whose character is nameless throughout - is utterly baffled by the poor standard of his urine pond and sets about rectifying the situation by lying on his front and punching the yellow water.

Quite what we're meant to make of this is beyond me.
